Rebuild, Restore, and Renew

Rebuild, Restore, and Renew...

Those are the words that have been my prayer as I prepare for Russia! Those words come out of the scriptures from Isaiah 61:4

"They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations."

Rebuild the ancient ruins...

Restore the places long devastated...

Renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations...

Russia falls under that category. There are many ancient ruins. Maybe not as many physically (although there are many old buildings)... but spiritually there are so many. There are many lives that were once built but over the years they have been in despair.

Many who are broken. Many who need restoration from the brokenness of the Soviets... restoration from relationships... they are in need of healing.

They need to be renewed and refreshed in the sweet grace of the Lord. Generation after generation.

Lord, may we be apart of your bigger plan to rebuild, restore, and renew the lives of the Russians. May we make your name great and bless those we meet with your sweet song of redemption.
In Jesus' Name,
Amen

The Start of Something New...

Well... I never thought I'd be a "blogger"! I figured the best way to start this new endeavor is to have a mission statement and have a clear direction of purpose for this blog!

"I am believer in Jesus Christ and always want everything in my life (words, actions, attitude, etc) to always point to Him. I want to be transparent yet tasteful in my written words. The purpose of this blog is to communicate my thoughts, prayers, what the Lord is doing in my life, and day to day events in a way that will encourage others and direct them to the Savior."
